Lucy Cheyney - founder
I’m a Norfolk-based private chef who returned home after many years working abroad, gaining culinary experience in France, London, Australia and Barcelona. Wild Lulita is my private catering company, where I create vibrant, seasonal menus and indulgent but thoughtfully made cakes and desserts.
I love creating food that brings people together. Colourful, flavourful dishes that feel generous and nourishing. My approach is simple: cook beautiful food that tastes exceptional and makes people happy.
Where possible I use organic ingredients and support local suppliers, allowing the menus to change with the seasons and celebrate the wonderful produce available here in Norfolk.
Experience
Classically trained in Paris at Le Cordon Bleu, I began my career in Michelin-starred kitchens in France and London, including L’Atelier Robuchon, before moving to Australia where I worked as a pastry chef. During this time my interest in healthier, more balanced cooking began to develop, driven by a desire to find a more sustainable approach within a demanding industry.
Returning to London, I went on to work as Head Chef for several pioneering healthy food companies, including The Pure Package, Detox Kitchen and Deliciously Ella, creating vibrant, nourishing menus focused on flavour, seasonality and wellbeing.
Several years spent living and working in Barcelona deepened my love of Mediterranean cooking — bold flavours, colour and simple ingredients prepared with care. During this time Wild Lulita began as a boutique cake shop, before later evolving into the private chef and catering company it is today.
My favourite events are relaxed summer gatherings cooked over fire, with Mediterranean-inspired menus that celebrate the beautiful produce available here in Norfolk.
Each menu is designed individually for every client, working alongside a trusted local team to deliver friendly, professional service and memorable food experiences.
